Are you interested in getting paid experience within ecology?
agb Environmental are seeking two or three seasonal ecologists to assist with surveys between May and September 2017 for up to one or two evenings / early mornings (around dawn) per week (c. 3-4 hours per survey).
Surveys are likely to be for bats and possibly amphibians. There may also be the opportunity to assist with reptile, dormouse, otter, and water vole surveys during the day. Full training on survey techniques and analysis of field signs will be provided. Projects will involve working on a variety of sites across Hampshire and Dorset, and potentially further afield.
No experience is necessary; however, we do ask that candidates:
- Are studying for a BSc in a Biological or Environmental Science subject.
- Hold a clean full driving licence with access to their own car.
- Are reliable, organised and flexible with time.
- Based in in the south or southwest.
Applications from candidates with relevant degrees or experience of the above species are of course also welcome.
In return, candidates will be:
- Paid £10 – 15 / hour, depending on experience.
- Reimbursed mileage expenses at 45p / mile.
- Provided with training by professional ecologists.
